Last year at this time I was able to take in this fine example of the universe's majesty while on holiday in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico.
The Geminid Meteor shower is a once a year occurance where meteors radiating from Castor and Pollux in the constellation, Gemini the Twins rain through the night sky.
The beaster of this light show is that the meteors are usually bright enough to penetrate any kind of brightness that our moon reflects our way.
The best watching can be found at night (natch) but peak between midnight and dawn with a rate of 50-100/hour.
Grab a cold Colorado brew tonight and tomorrow night and sit back for some of nature's grandiosity.
HOLY SMOKES THE GODZILLA TEASER RULES!
Cranston cries, The roar!, That sick halo jump...this is how you do a trailer.
I've been following this project since it was announced a couple years ago with baited breath. The director, Gareth Edwards has another "monster" film under his belt, appropriately titled, "Monsters" that is a very unique look at the human aftermath of a kaiju attack. The last time I looked, it was available on Netflix and I really recommend checking it out to see what this guy is capable of doing with a shoestring budget.
Godzilla will hit theaters in May of 2014.
I know a bunch of you are going shopping next week so if you've got me on your list. I'd like an XBox One and one of these please:
